REMARKS: The Waverly's original neon marquee, which dated to the 1930s, made way for an acrylic plastic jobber sometime around 1980, only to be replaced with this one shortly thereafter. When the IFC took over around 2005, part of the neon marquee was preserved in the on-site cafe, which unfortunately has since closed.
